There are several great online softwares that are free to generate birth charts or natal charts. In this blog, I will be sharing one of my all-time favourite astro-seek.com
Here is a direct link to the birth chart calculator in astro-seek.com
You will need 3 important data of your birth in order to generate your birth chart:
Your birth date (e.g. 6th May 1980)
Your birth time (e.g 4:27am)
Your birth location (at city level) (e.g. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)
Below is a screenshot of how you can input your birth information into the calculator.
For "Extended settings: House system, Aspects, Orbs", if you are a new beginner, I would suggest that you leave everything as the default setting.
If you would like to play around with the settings, you can change the "House system" to "Whole Sign" and you will see your planets being located in possibly a different house when using "Placidus". The different house locations may offer you another perspective to your interpretation.
Since ASC (Ascendant) and MC (Medium Coeli) are very important angles to interpret your chart, you may also like to check "ASC & MC" under "Aspects to".
Once you are ready, simply click on the "Calculate" button to generate.
This is how a birth chart looks like based on the birth data.
Since the birth chart wheel is filled with symbols and glyphs, new beginners may find it overwhelming. But you can easily refer to the legend on the right side of the chart to understand what planets and points each glyph represent.
There are many functions and information in astro-seek's birth chart. If you are interested to find out more, check out my blog on "How To Read Your Birth Chart Data".
